Candle Safety Guide
- When you first burn your scented candle, burn it until the wax pool reaches the edge of the glass. Soy wax has a memory, therefore if you extinguish the candle too soon this will create tunneling for future burns.
- Position candle on a secure, level, heat resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children and animals.
- Always trim wicks to 6mm before lighting to reduce black carbon residue.
- Triple wicked and double wicked candles require all wicks to be burning at the same time and trimmed at the same length.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Burn for periods for no more than 2 hours.
- Do not use lid to extinguish the candle. To extinguish the candle flame, use a candle snuffer or blow gently on the flame.
- Never burn a candle completely to the end. Discard when there's 10mm of wax in the bottom.
Pillar / Sculpture Candles
- Sculpture candles not in a vessel / candle jar will drip, burn on a non porous heat resistance container to catch any molten wax.
Crystals in Candles
- Before burning your candle it is recommended that you remove the gemstone and place beside the candle, rather than burn the candle with the crystal inside the jar.
- When using candles with crystals, if you choose to not remove the gemstone, it's important to be aware of the potential fire hazard. The gemstones should be placed in a way that they will not come into direct contact with the flame and wicks, and the candle should never be left unattended while burning.
Beads in Candles
- The message will reveal itself in the form of letter beads and will be seen in the first hour of burning.
- Once the candle continues to burn down and enjoyed for many hours the beads will move around, you may leave the beads inside the candle or remove with tweezers if you prefer.
